‘Those Who Wish Me Dead’ Film Review: The Flames of Rebirth

Those Who Wish Me Dead (2021) is the latest from writer-director Taylor Sheridan. The action-thriller stars Angelina Jolie as a fire warden and survival expert who fights to protect a teenage murder witness from the two hitmen out to kill him – and the raging wildfire hot on their heels. Sheridan has penned numerous hits in the last half-decade, and this is his sophomore directorial effort after 2018’s Wind River. Is this a triumphant return for him and A-lister Jolie?

‘Mainstream’ Film Review: The Price of Fame

Mainstream (2021) is an absurdist comedy-drama film from writer-director Gia Coppola (granddaughter of Francis Ford Coppola). It stars Andrew Garfield and Maya Hawke two listless youngsters who join forces to produce viral, satirical Internet videos. The film premiered at the 2020 Venice Film Festival last September, and released on Friday in theaters and on VOD. Is this a worthy continuation of a legendary family’s filmography?
