The 2020 Midpoint Oscars

2020 has definitely been a strange year for cinema. With cinemas all but shut down and the future of new releases in peril, it’s difficult to analyze the year’s offerings as a cohesive whole. I’ve also seen far fewer films than I normally would by this point in the year. Regardless, we have seen some strong work thus far, and as is tradition, I want to take the opportunity at the halfway mark of the year and look back at what we’ve received so far.
