“Past Lives” Film Review: Nostalgic Melancholy

Past Lives (2023) is a drama film from first-time writer-director Celine Song. It stars Greta Lee as Nora, a Korean-American immigrant who runs into her long-lost childhood best friend (Teo Yoo), triggering a week-long exploration of lost time and what could have been between them. “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” Review: The Villain Within

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023) is an animated superhero film and the sequel to 2018’s Into the Spider-Verse. It is directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kept Powers and Justin K. Thompson and written by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and David Callaham. It continues the story of Miles Morales, the teenager who becomes Spider-Man and discovers the ability to travel between multi-verses to visit other versions of Spider-Man. The film debuted to rave reviews ahead of its June 2 release. Is it truly as special as everyone has been saying?
